Hunter Valley, New South Wales
The Tulloch story began in 1895 when John Younie Tulloch accepted an unusual settlement of a debt, a 43 acre property at Pokolbin in the Hunter Valley.
Tulloch took an immediate liking to the property and the five acres of neglected vines it contained. He set about rejuvenating the vineyard and so began the proud family tradition that continues today. With Jay Tulloch once again at its helm and its commitment to premium Hunter Valley wines renewed, one of the Hunter’s great winemaking names lives on with Jay’s youngest daughter, Christina, taking on the role of CEO. The Tulloch Verdelho and reinvigorated Pokolbin Dry Red label lead the charge in a portfolio of premium wines that draws on the ability to produce wine styles for all generations.
Tulloch currently produces wines from varieties that the Hunter Valley is renowned for, such as Semillon, Chardonnay, Verdelho and Shiraz together with a range of Limited Release and Cellar Door Only wines. These wines are available for tasting at the Hunter Valley Cellar Door and via the Tulloch 1895 Wine Club.
